In the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections, BJP’s Smriti Irani lost her seat to ’ Kishori Lal Sharma by 1,67,196 votes. And amid her defeat from Amethi, actress Mouni Roy extended her support to the politician as she penned a message that read- Always with you.
Irani put out a long message on X and said her Josh was still high despite the results. She wrote- “ Such is life… A decade of my life going from one village to another, building lives, nurturing hope & aspirations, working on infrastructure ― roads, naali, khadanja, bypass, medical college and more.”
The politician added, “To those who stood by me through loss and victory, I am forever grateful. To those celebrating today, congratulations. And to those asking, “How’s the josh?” I say- it’s still high, Sir.”
Addressing the media on Tuesday evening, Irani said: “I express my gratitude to all the BJP party workers and supporters, those who have worked in the service of the constituency and the party with utmost dedication and fidelity.”
“Today, I am grateful to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and (Uttar Pradesh) Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath that their governments have completed the pending works of 30 years in just 5 years,” she further said.
