The tennis star said she would have to find love again when Kapil Sharma quoted Shah Rukh Khan. The quote was about the Jawan star’s plea to play Sania’s love interest if a film on her life was ever made.
While there have been rumours that Sania and Shoaib had parted aways, it was only confirmed after the Pakistan cricketer shared pictures of his wedding with actor Sana Javed on social media platforms on 20 January. After Shoaib made his new marriage public, Sania’s team released a statement the next day, informing the media that duo had been separated for a few months.
“Sania has always kept her personal life away from the public eye. However, today the need has arisen for her to share that Shoaib and she have been divorced for a few months now. She wishes Shoaib well for his new journey ahead! At this sensitive period of her life, we would like to request all fans and well-wishers to refrain from indulging in any speculation and to respect her need for privacy,” the statement read.
