WATCH: Kangana Ranaut 'slapped' by CISF constable at Chandigarh airport, here's what happened

Kangana Ranaut, BJP MP from Himachal Pradesh’s Mandi, was allegedly slapped by CISF lady constable at Chandigarh airport on Thursday afternoon, June 6, when she was heading to catch a flight to Delhi.

When & where it happened?

The alleged incident took place when the actor-turned-politician was going through a security check at the Mohali International Airport before boarding Vistara’s UK707 flight to New Delhi.

Kangana headed to the Security Hold Area (SHA), after arriving at the airport. CISF LCT (lady constable), unit Chandigarh airport, Kulwinder Kaur, did her frisking post which she allegedly slapped the newly elected BJP MP.

Kangana was travelling to Delhi for the meeting with top leaders of her party and also to attend the swearing in ceremony of Narendra Modi as Prime Minister which is expected over this weekend.

Why did CISF constable slapped Kangana Ranaut?

Mohali International Airport sources said Kaur slapped Kangana after she allegedly gave a bad statement about women in Punjab during the farmers agitation against three farm laws. She allegedly said, “women of the state participated in the farmers agitation for money.”

Kangana’s flight took off from Chandigarh at 4:10 pm after a slight delay.

Sources also confirmed that an inquiry committee comprising senior CISF officers was set up to conduct further investigation.

Kangana Ranaut says was ‘hit, but I am safe’

Kangana took to X and said she was safe and even gave a brief description of what happened with her at Chandigarh airport.

Kangana said she will be filing a complaint to the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) in Delhi shortly.

NCW demands action

Following the incident, the National Commission for Women (NCW), demanded “immediate suspension and strict action against Kaur if allegations are confirmed.”

NCW chairperson, Rekha Sharma, has also sent a letter to CISF Director General and condemn the incident.

CISF constable Kulwinder Kaur suspended soon after

As per reports, within hours after the incident, CISF lady constable Kaur was suspended for slapping Kangana.

Who is CISF constable Kulwinder Kaur who slapped Kangana Ranaut?

As per sources, Kaur, aged 35, has been in service for 15 years. Her husband is also in CISF.

Kaur is a resident of Kapurthala in Punjab and has a clean record and is said to be a good worker.
