Veteran Bollywood and TV actor Shekhar Suman has been garnering praise for his portrayal in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar. However, in 2023, the actor spoke about the dark side of the industry and recalled the reason Priyanka Chopra left Bollywood. Suman also shared that the same thing happened with the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

Another tweet read, “I know of at least 4 people in the industry who have ganged up to have me and Adhyayan removed from many projects. I know it for sure. These ‘gangsters’ have a lot of clout and they are more dangerous than a rattlesnake. But the truth is they can create hurdles but they cannot stop us.”
Interestingly, Heeramandi also featured Shekhar’s son Adhyayan Suman, where he portrayed two prominent characters.
