Team India is reportedly unhappy with the “average” practice facilities provided to them by ICC for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024. India are currently in New York where they are expected to play their first three Group A matches including against Pakistan on 9 June. The team is currently training at the Cantiague Park in New York.

The matches will be held at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York but the makeshift stadium does not have any practice pitches.
The ICC has designated Cantiague Park as the training venue for teams who have matches in New York.
India trained at Cantiague Park on Wednesday and used three of the six drop-in pitches that are available.
“Everything is makeshift – from pitches to other facilities. Safe to say everything is very average in nature. The team has raised their concerns,” a source told CricketNext News18.
The ICC, however, denied receiving any such complaint from India or any of the other teams.
“There has been no complaint or concern expressed regarding the practice facilities at Cantiague Park by any team," the ICC told CricketNext.
It’s not just players who are having to deal with average facilities in New York City. It has been learned that arrangements for food at the venue were not appropriate either.
Journalists were served refreshments in boxes while players weren’t too happy with what was served to them either, with the BCCI expressing concern over the same.
It’s the first time the USA is hosting an ICC event and a total of 16 matches will be played in the country across three venues. The United States, however, is not known for cricket and currently boasts an infrastructure that is way behind what could be seen in India or Australia.

The tournament will be a real test for the US who witnessed the Grand Prairie Stadium in Texas being damaged by thunderstorms on Tuesday, leading to the cancellation of the warm-up contest between the USA and Bangladesh. A giant temporary LED was damaged due to winds.
The third stadium that will host matches during the World Cup in the USA is Central Broward Park & Broward County Stadium in Lauderhill, Florida.
