BJP’s Rae Bareli candidate Dinesh Pratap Singh conceded defeat to his opponent and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi as the latter is leading in the constituency with 2,12,363 votes.
In a post on Facebook, Pratap said, “I served the people of Raebareli with great humility and hard work. However, if I have made any mistake in my thoughts, words, or deeds during my service or have hurt anyone, then I seek forgiveness.”
As per trends, Gandhi’s win in the key Uttar Pradesh seat seems likely. The leader is also contesting from Kerala’s Wayanad.
